    While at the American Globe Theatre, Basil Rodericks began photographing fellow actors and working backstage at New York Fashion Week, now 20+ seasons. Immersion in theater & fashion informed his photography, which he then formalized in 2010, creating the Williamsburg, Brooklyn-based FACE IT FOTO. As his work expanded into directing, he further refined a director-driven approach to on-camera presence and brand-reflective imagery.

    FACE IT FOTO collaborates on theatrical, editorial, and corporate projects with clients including Mandarin Quarterly Magazine, Greg Lauren, Thomson Reuters Asia, Tegna, best-selling authors, Broadway and television performers, 14Y, The Educational Alliance, 59E59, and numerous theater companies.

  • Sessions use a director-driven approach to shape expression, intention, and presence. The process is collaborative, and allows you to settle, adjust, and deliver your most engaging & authentic headshots.
  • Packages range $475- 975 as detailed in the downloadable
    • FIFFAQ (here and the link below). Each package includes a pre-shoot consultation, 30-90 minutes of prep, and the option to order additional images.
  • Available exclusively upon booking, the FIFPrimer is a mini-workshop offering clear, practical guidance —everything you need to prep with confidence and have fun doing it!
  • THEATRICAL
  • FIF Theatrical images are rendered using a two‑camera, two‑lens approach to capture RAW files, with post‑production completed in Lightroom and Photoshop, far exceeding standard practice. Starting rates range from $550–$950 and vary by theater size, contract type, rehearsal or show access, and required deliverables.   • Day rates serve as a general guide and may be adjusted based on creative approach, lighting, crew, deliverables, and proofing. Consultation will determine an accurate quote.

  • BOOKING
  • A $225 deposit confirms any headshot booking, $400 with makeup artist. For all other bookings, a 25% deposit confirms the session, or as agreed by prior arrangement.
